*My Crows* *My Art* *My Way*

 Hi Everyone 😀

Hope you're all doing well!

Unfortunately, I have no date for my operation. It's due to Covid. Since I am "living" with my systems, I don't need my surgery right away. If I had an attack, like I did back in the summer, I would have to have the operation immediately.

Where I live, there is an increasing amount of Covid cases. Actually, we were in the "red" zone and on Monday, we just went into lock down again! Hopefully, just for 28 days, but you never know?

So, I will keep going and get as healthy as I can, for the operation. I have been told, when I go in, they want me out the same day. Again, due to Covid, they don't like having people in the hospitals for too long. Also, living with my mom, (senior), my Doctor wants to be careful of this too.

I am classified as "non-essential"  surgery.

After getting the news, I felt like doing a Christmas painting! I haven't made a Christmas painting in a long time. It's the one you see in my banner. I simply called it, "Merry Christmas". I had fun doing their faces and the snowman's face too!

There is one more I would like to show you. It might not be for everyone's taste, but I loved the feeling in it.

"The Night They Met"

Big Hugs 💕

  1. Yes, covid is bumping a lot of surgeries out of the operating rooms. I hope you stay healthy for the foreseeable future so that no emergency operation becomes necessary. I like both your paintings!

  3. Now that is festive!
Sorry you have to wait. Lockdown right before Christmas? We're far worse than your area and we've only got a curfew.
    Merry Christmas!

  4. Oh my ,, it’s hard having to wait for surgery I’m sure but I suppose with all the COVID you probably would rather wait. Fingers crossed you don’t require surgery sooner. I love your festive painting and the night they met is sooooo romantic, the gesture of the crows and their positioning is just so telling of true love. Crows do those postures! It’s beautiful!

  5. I ALWAYS love your art and these pieces are no exception.
I am sorry about the delay to your surgery - and very happy that you haven't had to go in as an emergency - which I hope makes sense.
I hope your lockdown works and send oceans of caring your way.

  8. I adore your new banner art!!! So festive and sweet!!! And "The Night They Met" is very powerful and insightful! In a way I am relieved you won't be having the surgery yet. It's just too scary to be in a hospital right now. Our numbers are sky rocketing here and no one seems to care. People are eating out, shopping at the mall, and going along as though nothing is wrong, complete denial, it's crazy!!! Stay healthy and safe. BIG HUGS and LOVE!!!

  9. I love both paintings but especially the Christmas painting. It just oozes warmth and coziness. Please take care of yourself. I don't want you to get to the have to have category.
Covid is multiplying like crazy. My bro and sis in law have it. A good bud is getting over it.My son in law's 98 year old grandmother has it. Scary times.
YOU take special care and have Happy Holidays.

  10. That christmas painting would make a cute christmas card. You should look into doing that for next christmas or just for fun. Merry Christmas and stay healthy the best you can.

  11. Lot of places have put elective surgeries on hold. Better to be safe than sorry with Covid. Numbers are blowing up all over the place here. I suspect a couple of weeks after Christmas/New Year, there will be more cases from people getting together to try to celebrate the holidays like normal. Good news the vaccines are out. Fun paintings. Take care and stay safe.

  13. I love The Night They Met, there's a whole story in those brush strokes. The shy way one is holding the warmth in its heart, trying to decide if vulnerability is worth the risk, and the calm protective way the other one is holding itself, as if to say, "I would be honored to be part of anything you would share with me." This is so moving. I love it!

Yeah, COVID cases are going up here too, and we're taking extra precautions because of Eric's diabetes. My kids, especially Darling Youngest, had a bit of mental readjusting to do when they realized things were getting bad again, but they are coping OK now. Darling Eldest is now regularly baking banana bread for the family. Next, he wants to conquer grandpa's signature challah bread.

I hope your health remains stable enough to ride out this round of COVID. Stay safe!

  16. COVID is making everything more difficult. I hope that you can stay stable for as long as you need to. Maybe the vaccine will make things a bit better soon--things aren't looking great in NY either.

I really like both paintings, but "The Night They Met" is my favorite--so many things go on in there.

Stay warm. Stay lovely. Stay Stacy!
