Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
I can finally show you the illustrations and tell you how all this came about.
In blog land, a couple of years ago, I got to know an amazing lady named Khaya. Khaya writes the most beautiful poetry. Last year, she released her first Chapbook. Chapbooks are a small paper covered book, usually around 40-50 pages.
This year, for her new Chapbook, she asked me to do the inside illustrations! How excited and nervous was I!
The first illustration got changed. When Khaya saw the drawing of my skeletons, on a boat, with my crow guiding them. She asked if she could use this image and of course I said yes. This is why I changed my banner to it. So you could see it again.
The second illustration was of a poppy. Here is the drawing and the completed image inked.
The third illustration was of an emotional eye.
And the fourth and final illustration, was of crocuses, before they bloom.
The Chapbook is called "From The Depths Of Darkness". The cover was done by Martha from Ayala Art.
The cover says it all, "A collection of Dark Poetry Left in the Light".
Here is the link for the printed copy and the e-copy. You can also see the reviews.
The printed copy was just released! So Khaya decided to do a giveaway! She is mailing me a signed Chapbook, in which I will be signing as well.
Along with the printed/signed copy of the book, you'll also be receiving one of my stretch tote bags. "Shine Your Light".
This giveaway is open to everyone, where it is legal to ship to. The giveaway will end on March 31st. I will announce the winner on April 1st! Remember this is for the book and the bag!
So if you would like to be included in the giveaway, say in your comment, "Yes Please".
I hope you've enjoyed the art and meeting Khaya 😃
Big Hugs 😀
Hope you're all well!
