Hey Everyone 😀
I hope you're all doing well! I've been trying to get around to all your blogs, to say hi and to apologize, that I'm so behind in blog land. I miss coming on here and seeing how everyone is.

It's a busy time of year for everyone. I've just really started back with gardening. It's been cool and raining. Work is going excellent. I've been working a lot more in the morning, than the day or night shifts. So, I am up around 5:30am. By the time I get home and eat, I just want to sleep!

Then when I looked at the calendar, I couldn't believe, in a few weeks, I'm on my trip! So excited and emotionally, when I think of my trip, I start to cry. Cry in a good way. I feel it's going to be an amazing experience!

I took some pictures around the garden! (Lots of pics!)

Here is a natural, "bed head", Sunday pic of me! LOL!

Remember this painting?
I think it's finished.

Hi Everyone 😀
Hope you're all well!
We've been getting tones of rain and even snow!! But, besides the snow, things are turning green and plants are starting to grow.
Little red squirrel is enjoying some seed.
We've even had our ducks return, too. Every year, for about 15 years, this happy couple has returned to us.
Mom's plant is blooming too!
As for my art, my banner is showing the next stage, to the painting below. Not done yet!
And, I have started another!

Hi Everyone 🐇
Happy Easter 😃

Mom's Easter flowers. She loves orange. We'll be enjoying some cranberry wine this weekend. It's made locally here, just north of us. It's so good and not sweet.
I hope you're all well. I can't believe it's Easter all ready! I said to my mom the other day, it's almost Christmas! LOL! I just wanted to let you know, the job I'm at, I'm kind of the "on call" girl. Sometimes I work everyday and other times, I might go in for a 4 hour shift and then they say, can you stay another 3 hours. Of course I say yes. Truly grateful to work for a good company and I love the girls I work with too. So, this is why, I'm behind in blog land and not posting as much.

I'm going to really try to get caught up this weekend, but I might not be able to comment on all your posts.

In May, I know my manager is going to be off for 2 weeks, so again, it will be a busy month. As I said, there might not be many posts, but I will be around to say hi!

After May is June! And, I told you I was going away. It never clued into me that June was so close, until I realized it was Easter this weekend! LOL! Remember last year, I went to two retreats in Toronto? Well, this year I am flying to Sedona Arizona. Actually, I have to fly into Phoenix and then take a 2 hour bus ride to Sedona. I have been told the area is breath taking and those 2 hours are going to go fast. I'm so excited! I just hope time goes slow when I am there! LOL!

The snow is all gone and I will soon be getting the lawn mower going!

I just wanted to let you know, what was going on!
Thanks everyone for being you! You're the best!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well! I think I'm finally over my cold! Yepee!
And, I think "Spring" has finally came!
But, I have to admit, they are calling for snow tomorrow! LOL! I don't think it will be as much as last time! Well, let's hope not!

I've started a new painting. Here are some progress pictures. There was actually one layer done before this one, but I forgot to take a picture.
This is where I'm at now.

I promised to show you my tinfoil hat! First, I want to tell you, when I thought about entering this contest, all I could think about was feathers. So, that's what I did! I drew them out and started to have some fun!.
I had to take my picture in front of a mirror, because the hat stands high on my head. My mom couldn't get a good picture, because she wears glasses.
Here is me and my hat 😀

I have to tell you, on Friday April 12th, you can go vote on Deb's blog, for who will be the grand prize winner. I'm anxious to see everyone's hat! This was so much fun! Thanks Deb!

Big Hugs 😊

Hi Everyone 😀🌼⛄ Happy April 1st!
Hope you're all well! First, I have to apologize. I'm trying to catch up with you in blog land, slowly. This cold/flu, still hasn't left me, but I'm doing a lot better. I just find now, that I want to sleep!
I know I don't have to apologize, but that's just me.

The next two days, I'm trying to get my mom's taxes done, so I might get behind again! LOL!

I was ready to show you, the robins and the grass getting green, then yesterday, we were hit with one of our biggest snow falls "yet". It even snowed last night. I hope no tree branches broke. I feel bad for the robins! Truly was "April Fools" on us! LOL!

Lucky I didn't take my snow tires off! LOL!

I have no new art to show you, but I have a contest to tell you about, that I had a lot of fun with. If you notice on my side bar, I'm wearing a tinfoil hat. You can't see it all, but I will show you after the 9th. It was so much fun to create! I felt like I was at Mardi Gras wearing it. Debra, from "She Who Seeks" is having a Tin Foil Hat Contest. You don't have to be wearing it, your fur babies can too. So have some fun! You have till Tuesday April 9th, to join in!

Now for the winner of my giveaway!!! I want to thank all who joined in and I know Khaya thanks you too. It was such an honour to collaborate with her, on this chapbook!
The winner for one of my bags and a signed chapbook, "From The Depths Of Darkness" is......

Mary from Moontides!!! Congrats Mary! I will be getting in touch with you soon!

Big Hugs!

Hi Everyone 😃
I hope you're all well!
I've been working and also, trying to keep away a cold. At first, I thought it was allergies, but I think it's a cold, because I have an ear ache!

I've also been planning a trip in June. I'll let you know more about that later!

I think finally Spring has sprung around here! The grass is showing and the temperatures are rising.
All the birds are returning. I love hearing them in the morning singing. I haven't seen a robin yet!

Do you remember this painting?
Well, I wanted to do something similar, but not with my crows.
Here are some progress pictures. This painting went through many different stages. Lots of layering.
Finished piece:
"We Are All Connected" (11" x 14" on wood)
Remember, I'm having a special giveaway. Here is the link.

Happy Dance (Surprise at the end of this post!)

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!

I can finally show you the illustrations and tell you how all this came about.

In blog land, a couple of years ago, I got to know an amazing lady named Khaya.  Khaya writes the most beautiful poetry. Last year, she released her first Chapbook. Chapbooks are a small paper covered book, usually around 40-50 pages.

This year, for her new Chapbook, she asked me to do the inside illustrations! How excited and nervous was I!
The first illustration got changed. When Khaya saw the drawing of my skeletons, on a boat, with my crow guiding them. She asked if she could use this image and of course I said yes. This is why I changed my banner to it. So you could see it again.

The second illustration was of a poppy. Here is the drawing and the completed image inked.
The third illustration was of an emotional eye.
And the fourth and final illustration, was of crocuses, before they bloom.

The Chapbook is called "From The Depths Of Darkness". The cover was done by Martha from Ayala Art.
The cover says it all, "A collection of Dark Poetry Left in the Light".
Here is the link for the printed copy and the e-copy. You can also see the reviews.

The printed copy was just released! So Khaya decided to do a giveaway! She is mailing me  a signed Chapbook, in which I will be signing as well.
Along with the printed/signed copy of the book, you'll also be receiving one of my stretch tote bags. "Shine Your Light".
This giveaway is open to everyone, where it is legal to ship to. The giveaway will end on March 31st. I will announce the winner on April 1st! Remember this is for the book and the bag!

So if you would like to be included in the giveaway, say in your comment, "Yes Please".

I hope you've enjoyed the art and meeting Khaya 😃

Big Hugs 😀
