Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
I've been doing lots of tree trimming and yard work. I emptied one of the bags of earth! Yepee!
Today, the temperatures are colder and we are expecting snow! But, by Monday, summer temperatures all the way. I guess the snow wanted one more appearance! LOL!

I did finish a little painting.
Here are some progress pictures.

What Do You Think?

Hi Everyone
Hope you're all doing well!
The snow is starting to melt around here! I truly think Spring has arrived!

When I show my art, on my blog, I love hearing all your comments. Especially when I show my progress pictures. I really find it interesting how people "see" or "feel" art. Even if they don't like something, I think all feed back is good!

I just finished another painting, which I will be showing you soon. When I showed this painting to someone close to me, they said, do you want the honest truth? I said, I wouldn't want it any other way.  They said it looked "vulgar".

I looked up what vulgar meant, and some of the words that were mentioned were, tasteless, gaudy, garish, rude, indecent etc.

It's funny, I took no offence and kind of smiled. As you all know, I paint my adult crows and baby crows and sometimes, you might even see a woman. I truly never force a painting.

But, I have to admit, I have "changed" some of my art, because of what someone said. And, I thought, what am I doing? I always tell people to be true to their soul and most of the time I am, but now I'm going to be 100%.

Wait till you hear what I called this painting. Everything came together, with this piece and what I am writing to you today.

Here are some of the progress pictures of the painting.
Before I show you the finished piece, one of the main things the person didn't like about this painting, was the design above the bum. I said that is her "tattoo"! LOL!

Finished painting:
"I Hear You, I Feel You, I Honour You And I Am Here To Be Me, Now, As Never Before"
(8" x 10" canvas)
(Personally, I just love the feeling of the entire painting. Especially the way the crows are looking.)

I have to admit, this discussion started, because the place that makes the bags and journals that I got, started to make new bags, that are purses and I think this would be so cool as a purse. I know not everyone would wear it, but I would.

I didn't realize I was "thinking" so much of everything!
I just have to go for it!! At least I can say, it's all unique! πŸ˜€

Have a great one!

I forgot, I did design a mother and baby crow purse too.

Hi Everyone
Hope you're all well!
Well, we made it through the storm! Haven't been out of the driveway since early Friday morning! LOL! Hopefully by Wednesday.
We got high winds, rain, freezing rain and ice pellets.
I didn't know there was a difference between freezing rain and ice pellets. When everything started to come down, I thought it was snow, wrong! Ice pellets!
I know this doesn't look too bad on our driveway, but that is all ice! You can see the little path I made with some salt to the end. The snow plow filled the end and I pushed out as much ice as I could, but there is still a large hump and there is no way of moving it! Spring to Summer temperatures by the end of the week, so hopefully it will be all melted.

The power flickered off and on a couple of times, but really not that bad!
I felt bad for all the animals, so I started to put some seed out the back door for them.
(Warning, lots of photos! LOL!)

Once one comes, they all start coming!
Here comes the birds!
The Redwing Black birds started to come in too.
Mr. Cardnial was on the bird feeder.
Mrs. Dove looked at me through the window.
And, then sneaky grey squirrel was trying to get into the house! LOL!
The black squirrels and Mr. Woodpecker came to visit too. It was a fun afternoon!

I will leave you with my mom's cactus plant. It's starting to bloom again. Don't ask me the name of it, because I don't know! LOL!

Hi Everyone πŸ˜€
Hope you're all well!
I have to apologize. I'm behind in blog land. It's been a busy week. I will be around soon! I promise.

As I type this blog post, (4:25pm), it is turning pitch black outside and it's pouring rain. This weekend, is suppose to be nasty all across where I live. Major ice storm! They are calling for broken tree branches and loss of hydro. Then when this all finishes, Sunday night, flooding!

I truly hope we don't lose power. The last time that happened, we were out for like 6 days. So, even though I said I will be around soon to all of you, "if" you don't hear form me, you know why! Lucky we had all our trees trimmed last year, so we shouldn't have any falling branches! Hopefully!

If any of you are in nasty weather, please keep safe!

I did finish a painting. Here are some progress pictures.

Wasn't liking how my angel was looking, but I did like her "orb of light" above her head, so I changed how she was looking.

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all doing well!
It's still cold here. The snow comes and goes, but it's basically all gone. Saying that, I don't think my snow tires will be coming off till the beginning of May!

The "grackles" are still here, but basically gone from my backyard. They still keep coming by once and while, to see what is going on! LOL!
These are my feeders now.

The one on the right, is a squirrel proof feeder, which the "grackles", use to get feed from, but I did some research. I am using safflower seed. Cardinals, chickadees and most of the song birds, even blue jays like it, but the black birds and squirrels don't. Funny though, the chipmunks like it. It has a bitter taste to it. It has taken the birds a little bit of time to get use to the seed, but they are coming around.

The same has went with the caged feeder. At first the birds weren't understanding, but now they are using it. We even had a wood pecker in it today! That shocked me! So touch wood, everything is going well!

I can't wait to show you the above picture, with some "green" in it! LOL! Especially to the right of that picture, I have a large patch of mint!

I finished a painting. Here are some progress pictures.

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well! Happy April!

I've been having problems with feeding the birds. Our backyard, I have it made for all the animals, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels and the birds. We are fortunate, because with the birds, we have ravens, crows, bluejays, chickadees, sparrows, woodpeckers and more!

At this time of year, the grackles come back into town, and we get alot of them!
They "rule" when they are in town. But, still in past years, the other birds could feed. Not this year. I'm leaving the bird feeder out at night time, so the cardinals can get some food.

The other day, I saw one killing one of their own type. I ran outside and slapped my hands. The cries were horrible. I almost got right up to it, until it let it fly, but unfortunately, it killed him on my neighbour's side.

The only thing I have read, is to change the bird feeder, so they can't get access.

Do any of you know of anything else? I love my larger birds as well and I hate for them to go too. I don't even know if the cardinals could use this one?

I did manage to finish a painting.
Here are some progress pictures.
