Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all doing well!
For the past week and it's still going on, when I go to comment on your blogs, it is taking so long!! I keep pressing publish, and I guess "blogger" is thinking??? So, I keep pressing publish like 5-10 times, and then it finally does it! It's crazy!
Hopefully, this will change soon! Maybe it's a new year bug?? LOL!

I listened to all your advice and didn't paint over my last paintings. But, those were just the "start" of them and as you know, my paintings can change a lot from start to finish!

This is how you saw the "blue" one last time.
This is it completed.
"The Answers Are Always Within You" (10" x 10" canvas)
There is alot of texture in this one. When I first started to paint, I wanted everything smooth. Now, the more paint, the better! It just gives the finished piece, a totally different look. I hope you like it! The wings took me awhile to finish. There is like 5 different layers on them, for the design and colour.

You're going to have to wait for the next one. It isn't completed, yet!

Big Hugs πŸ™‚

  1. The comment problem is a pain isn't it? It doesn't happen on those where comment moderation is enabled, or on the pop-up comments. But the others? Sigh.
Love, love, love your work and those textured wings look amazing.

  2. Yes, that comment problem seems to be hitting us universally, not good for impatient people like me. Your new canvas is really fabulous, love it. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie

  5. it is magnificent! wow!!
I have the same trouble commenting!

  6. I think it looks great! A lot of detail.
It's the embedded comment box, like this one, that takes so long. (Pop ups and ones requiring owner approval aren't affected.) Just hit publish once and wait - takes ten seconds, but it goes through.

  7. I thought it was my problem, too! Then I was seeing more and more Bloggers complaining about commenting problems. It is frustrating but I keep trying :)
Beautiful Stacy! "The Answers Are Always Within You" is more than just a gorgeous painting...it is spiritual...from the soul!

  8. Lovely finish, glad to hear it just wasn't me having this glitch

  9. It shouldn't take that long to publish a comment. Perhaps, you have malware or a virus? Try running a malware scan and a virus scan. Try cleaning your web browser's cache, too. That might help speed things up.

  10. Comments have been doing the same thing for me - I thought it was my computer, which is ancient.

The painting almost looks like it would make a great sculpture.

  11. I love seeing how your mind works with your art. I really liked the red in the first one, however, once you finished it the red out is perfect. Have a great day.

  12. I love, love, texture. Kind of expensive on paint, but more than worth it in the 3D effect. Been doing a lot of texture in my latest paintings, which I haven't published yet.

  13. Yes, commenting on Blogger is super slow right now. We just have to be patient! I like your new header painting too, but why am I hungry for a donut now?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Love your new header! I can't say which version of the painting I like better. The first one reminds me of an underwater scene, the second one has a more dramatic feel to it. The wings are amazing! I've had some trouble with commenting too. Hope it'll pass soon ...

  15. The Answers Are Always Within You is awesome Stacy! Such a true statement too that we all need to remember. You are not alone in the Blogger frustrations. :)

  16. Yes, I think most of us are finding that commenting on Blogger is super slow right now. We just have to be patient, I'm sure it will sort itself out soon!

"The Answers Are Always Within You" is a great piece.

    Enjoy your week.

    All the best Jan

  17. I had the same problem too trying to schedule a post - how frustrating, but hopefully it's a blip.

I like the second picture - always trust your gut! The original blue made it so cool in tone.

  18. Yeppers. Commenting is taking forever
but I only hit publish once. No need
to keep hitting it. Unless you fancy.
But yeah, it's like Blogger doesn't
care about this platform and stopped
putting anything into it. Sorta feels
like they want to kill themselves off.
But who knows, maybe it will get better.

  19. I'm so glad you said something about the publishing issue. I thought it was my computer. I'm having the same problem. If you visit many blogs it really starts getting annoying.
    Excellent piece, Stacy.

  21. Wow Stacy!! I can't believe they are one and the same! The final version is so rich and yes, the texture adds so much to it.

I love that you are constantly working with your pieces and finding ways to continue to grow and realize them. It's very inspiring. I cannot wait to see the next one as well!

Hoping your New Year has been magical thus far!
    BIG CROW HUGS!!

I am finding the same thing with Blogger. Hope it gets fixed. I have taken to hitting publish and then just waiting. Definitely takes longer.

  27. I love textured paintings. I like to touch it. :) Gently, of course.

I've noticed how slow blogger is at publishing comments, too, and it's driving me nuts!

  30. This new painting is mesmerizing! I just love it! Hope that all is well. I am busy at a new job (I am working as a special education teacher at a small charter school) and so haven't had as much time for blogging. Glad I came by today to see this beautiful work of art!

  36. Wow! Love the finished painting. My "Uncle" (cousin) Kelsey Raymond was a well known Nova Scotian artist. He loved texture in his paintings. He worked with oils and painted primarily with a palette knife instead of a brush. You managed to obscure the red so well! I'm still tearing my hair out over how long it's taking to post a comment on Blogger! Argh! Sending you love and hugs.
