Merry Christmas to all who celebrate πŸ˜ƒ
I hope you're all well and enjoying the holiday season.
Slowly, I'm catching up with you. Family left on the 23rd. I worked on the 24th and I work again on the 26th.

I have to tell you what happened to me on the 24th at work! We were busy! I was trying to help as many people as I could, but a lady who was shopping with a friend, required a little more one on one service. So, I eyed the other girls, just so they would know. Soon, I would be going to the cash out counter and saying to the manager, this is for Nicole, but she still hasn't finished yet. I kept going and the pile kept getting bigger and bigger. So, my manager decided to start the sale, so she wouldn't have to wait. Well, there was sweaters, pants, leggings, undies, tops, dresses, boots, running shoes, bras, etc. Almost 3 hours I worked with her. The lady was really nice and kept thanking me. I said no problems, that is what I am here for.

Well, she purchased, before tax, almost $2000.00 worth of merchandise! Holy crap! LOL! I've never had this large of a sale!

She actually hugged me afterwords and wished me a Merry Christmas. I thought that was so sweet!

My manager comes to me, after I'm finished and says, I have to take a picture of you. I was like, why? She says, when someone gets a sale over $1000.00, it's called a "rock star sale". A picture is taken of you, and it gets put on to the store's forum, where all the stores across Canada can see and of course where head office can see too.

She was laughing because the receipt was as tall as me! LOL! Well, a couple of inches off! LOL!

So here I am.

It was a good day! And, if you are wondering, no, I don't work on commission. We are truly a team!

Now for the answer to the trivia question!
"Aside from Murder, what is another name for a group of crows?"
A. Congress
B. Horde
C. Mob
D. Muster
E. Parcel
F. None Of the above
G. All of the above

-*G. All of the above πŸ˜ƒ They had this question on our weather channel.

Hi Everyone ⛄
Hope you're all well!
I've been working and in-between, getting ready for family and friends arriving this weekend. We are having our Christmas meal on Saturday.
I've started to set the table.
Which reminds me, I have to set one more place setting!
Mom has her flowers for Christmas.
The two paintings on the wall, I did. Actually, the blue one, is one of my first paintings!

In-between everything, I managed to finish a painting. Which is the one I have put in my header.
"Follow Your Heart, It Knows Where You Are Meant To Be" (6" x 12" on wood)
I have a trivia question for you!
"Aside from Murder, what is another name for a group of crows?"

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well πŸ˜ƒ

I'm doing a happy dance today! So grateful!
Remember, when I had the wonderful review, from the yoga instructor/aerialist, for my leggings, well, I have something else to share! Something very special!

So many of you have followed me through the years and have purchased from me as well. As always, I get a little worried, when it's something I haven't made, like my leggings. I want to make sure everything is well made and everyone is happy!

Well, when I opened my Redbubble store, one person in particular was very excited, because she has always loved my Happy Baby Crow painting and always wanted a Happy Baby Crow t-shirt. This was Debra, from She Who Seeks.

Well, Debra went for it! LOL! And, I am happy to say, she loves the t-shirt! She said the print came out well and the t-shirt is good quality. I was worried about the print because the original painting, was only 2.5" x 3.5" (the size of a baseball card).

After Debra told me this, I asked if I could have a picture of her wearing it and then I asked, if she could be my Redbubble model! The answer was Yes!!! Happy Dance!

Debra went out to play pool with her Rare One and her Rare One took these pictures of her. They thought the background would be interesting for the photos and I agree.

Here is Debra πŸ˜ƒ

Thanks so much Debra!!!! You're amazing and cute tooπŸ˜€

I want to remind you all, if you purchase any of my art or any other artist's items on Redbubble, sign up for the e-mails first, because you will get discounts sent to you. Just to let you know, my Redbubble store only has my Happy Baby Crow in it at the moment. I'm redoing some designs.

Before I go, I want to share some other amazing people I have met in blog land. Just incase you or the people around you, are in the mood for some reading through the holidays and into the new year! Some of these books are great for young people in your life too!

There are many more creative people I have met through blogging. I will be sharing more soon!

Hi Everyone! πŸ˜ƒ
I'm slowly, but surely, catching up with all of you. I didn't realize how behind I was in blog land!
This past Black Friday weekend, I worked Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The sale in the store was for 4 days.

Guess who was in charge of change rooms, on her shift? Yes, me, for the 4 days. The time went by so fast! I had 9 change rooms full and line ups. I even did bra fittings! I was damn proud of myself! I have to admit, everyone was really nice and understood, I was trying my best. I even had customers helping out other people. I thought that was great.

Anyways, by the time I got home, I forced myself to eat and went to bed! LOL!

But, up to those days, I did finish decorating the kitchen window.
I also put up the lights in the room, where I paint. This is the window, I look out. Mom made those curtains for $10.00. They are stuck up with velcro. Very easy to take down and wash!
I was able to start a painting. Here are some progress photos.
I actually finished the above painting, but it started to snow! So no photo taking outside!
So, I started another painting! Can you see the two crows?
One more thing, our government, has made our postal workers, stop the rotating strikes. Of course, they are upset, but at least they are back at work. Not sure what is going to happen. But, I am still going to wait, to open my shop. It's been 5 very long weeks!
Take Care and Big Hugs πŸ˜ƒ⛄

Hi Everyone πŸ˜€
Hope you're all doing well!
The snow has arrived! I think we got the same system, that many of you went through. Heavy, wet snow! But, I have to admit, I think by this weekend, it's all going to be gone.
Nobody at the bird feeders yet, but my grey squirrel is feeding on the stump!
We've started to put up our Christmas decorations. I think this year, I'm going to put up lights in the room, where I create my art.
I did finish one piece of art. It's actually the one in my banner. It's 9" x 12" on paper, created with ink and acrylic paint. I hope you can see all the detail.
"Star Kissed"
Just to let you know, the rotating postal strike is still on. I have to admit, even if it stops, I might not open my shop till January. Like I stated before, the mail is really backed up. It's such a shame, at this time of year, but what can you do!

I want to wish all my American friends a Happy Thanksgiving and if you go out on Black Friday, be safe! We always see all these images on t.v and I can't believe how people act! In Canada, Boxing Day, is our big sale day after Christmas, but we have started to do Black Friday now, and it has become more popular.

"Special Guest Post"

Journeying Into the Dark to Find the Light
Hello everyone, my name is Rommy. I want to give a big thank you to Stacy for agreeing to let me guest post today. Her artwork often feels like a visual fairy tale. Take for instance, her recent piece,
“I Am Safe to Be Me.”

There’s a story in that painting. You can see it in the small heart that looks like a kiss from the wind, the alertness in the crow sentinels, and especially in the smile of the figure at the center. There’s more to it than the knowledge that she’s safe; that smile is beginning to dream of a future where she can thrive. It may not be a faery tale in a traditional sense, but wonder and enchantment are all there.

I like to play with these ideas in my writing. My new collection of short stories, The Trouble with Wanting, and Other Not-Quite Faery Tales, takes faery tale themes and spins them out in ways that are different from the classics. “Her Homesick Spirit,” might be the least traditional of all the stories told, but the heroine, Rina, has to navigate a strange new world as intimidating as any dark, mysterious forest. Things might look familiar but they feel wrong as she wrestles with moving away from her family’s expectations to finally find a space she feels safe. The following poem elaborates on some of the themes in the story:

Light In An Eclipse
There is blood on the end of the sickle moon, though no one but me can see it.

It's the same moon that hung over the place I was born grown gaunt with homesickness.

Or maybe I've just seen myself reflected in the moon as darkness inches across it, engulfing it so nothing of its past remains.

The most familiar things look wrong under a moonless sky. I recognize nothing that looks like home.

I embrace my darkness, but I do not let it consume me for I have the brightness of the stars in my soul.

I let them point the way, if not towards home, towards a future where I shine steady as souls wax and wane around me.

Have you ever taken a walk off the beaten track to find yourself? Tell me about it in the comments section for a chance to win a copy of the e-book. The contest closes on November 25, midnight EST. I will choose the winner and announce their names back on my blog. Stacy will also add the name of the winner to this post. Good luck!

Cover art by Michelle Kennedy. Find her on her blog and Instagram.
The Trouble with Wanting, and Other Not-Quite Faerie Tales is available now at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Congrats Baili, you won!!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all doing well!
Happy November! I love when it's dark by 5:00pm.
Just to let you know, I've taken my art out of my Etsy shop for now, until the Canada post strike has ended. It is "rotating" strikes, but there is such a back log of mail right now, that I don't want to get any of my art lost. I've kept my leggings for sale, because the manufacture in Montreal, is doing a different company for posting. I guess I could do the same, but, I don't think people want to pay for the extra. Crossing fingers, this doesn't go on for much longer!

So, I've been playing around with my designs on my leggings. I created a new pair, from my last painting.
"I Am Safe To Be Me"
I finished a new drawing too.
"Hugs Of Love" (9" x 12" on paper)
And, guess what? Yes, I did leggings in this design too!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're well! πŸ˜ƒ
I'm back! What an amazing time! I met people from Ottawa, Winnipeg, Montreal and even Cleveland!
This all took place at The Church of the Holy Trinity, in Toronto. This church does so much for everyone in Toronto. It was built in 1847. (click on pics to make them bigger)
But, before I go any further. This is me, in the morning, getting ready to go and the trees in front of the church.
Here are some pictures of the inside.
There was lots of tears, hugs, smiles, laughter, letting go, realizations, and truly being YOU! We all talked and shared. The church was buzzing! It was amazing!
I don't think I should show any pictures of anyone, without them saying it's ok, but I will leave you with one "cropped" smiley picture. This was taken Saturday night, before going for hot chocolate! LOL!

Monday, when I got up to go to work, I was crying in the car. I can't wait to go again!

Guess what? The sun was out today, so I took pictures of the painting! First, some of the progress pictures.
(Finished Painting) "I Am Safe To Be Me"  (15" x 30" Canvas)
Close ups!
Please give me some time to get around in blog land! I know I'm really behind! I'll probably won't be posting anything until I get caught up!
