Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
Sunday night, the snow finally stopped! I was so happy! I love snow, but it was a lot to shovel! We have been getting a little break, but the snow is suppose to come back Wednesday night and all day Thursday. I think I'm just going to drive my car over it! LOL!
Thank you for all your comments on my older art! It was fun looking back at my baby crows! More baby crows will be coming soon! I didn't realize how much I missed painting them, until I looked at the photos!
I did finish a new painting!
"Inner Peace" (5" x 7" wood panel)
On Wednesday December 21st, we move from the darkest time of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere), to the first day of bringing back the light. Happy Winter Solstice! Happy Yule!

For Christmas, we have family and friends coming for the weekend. I will be around checking in on all of you, but I probably won't be posting anything till after December 25th.
I will leave you with one last painting, I just finished.
"Rebirth" (8" x 10" wood panel)
Big Hugs!!!
Hope you're all well!

I enjoyed looking at your past posts. I liked your little crow on the polar bear. I like to look at snow from afar, or on Christmas postcards. Here in Georgia it is nice to have snow for a day or two but then the city gets paralyzed. We have had no snow in two years and last winter we did not even get any frost. But this year looks colder everywhere so we may get some in January. Stay warm and have a merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love your paintings, Stacy, and I also really like the images in this post. We got snow here in Montreal as well and are supposed to get more tomorrow. I love it! Thankfully I don't have to shovel it...but I used to when I lived on the top floor of a 3-storey building, as the balcony was my fire escape! :) Thus far here in Montreal the snow removal crews have been doing a splendid job at clearing the snow and making it safe by putting either salt or gravel down, and as long as I am able to walk and have no fear of falling on ice, it is all good! Love and hugs to you, dear friend, and Merry Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh - all that snow. Hope it will stop soon!!! We have not had any yet - and I love that!!! Your paintings are so lovely. You have a depth in your work now that is amazing!!! So happy that the days will be lighter now!!! Big hugs dear friend :-)
ReplyDeleteThe expression in the eyes of your latest crows is so filled with excited energy...wonderfully positive. Blessed Yule to you too. See you on the other side of the holidays :D XXX
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays, Dearest Stacy 🎄
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit with your family and make some beautiful new memories 🎅
Your new art is gorgeous!!! Great style!!!

Solstice and Christmas blessings to you, Stacey!
ReplyDeleteGreat paintings! And what a great way to look at the first day of winter--the first day toward the days getting longer again. I don't mind winter so much (a great excuse to stay inside with a warm blanket!), but seeing it get dark at 4:30 is not so enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteThe light shining from your painting, Rebirth is so appropos for today. Happy Solstice. Merry Christmas. And on 181 days until the Summer Solstice. Blessed Be!
ReplyDeleteHope you do get a break with all that snow! Love the new paintings - hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday
ReplyDeleteThank goodness the snow finally left you alone for a bit. Like you said, it might be fun... but all that shoveling gets old after a while.
ReplyDeleteThese two paintings are just fantastic, Stacy. I love the posture of "Inner Peace". It looks like it's saying, "Send me what you have, world. I can take it!" And "Rebirth" is just magical.
Your new paintings are so strong and inspiring Stacy! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteShoveling stinks. I still shovel though when it is the littlest bit. I can't stand when it freezes over and stays on the ground for months so I try to get rid of as much as possible.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas weekend!
Brightest Blessings on this Winter Solstice!
ReplyDeleteBoth of those are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe had frost this morning. Almost counts as snow.
Merry Christmas!
Happy Winter Solstice to you too.
