Vampire's Day Soiree

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone ;o)
On this loving day, we are celebrating it with Holly, and her Vampire's Day Soiree Blog Party ;o)

The first thing I thought, was to paint a loving vampire crow couple ;o) I began with this background. (click on the pics to make them bigger)
The more I looked at it, I didn't think it was right. I wanted something more bright, to celebrate their love for each other ;o)
I saw their bodies entangling, as they feasted on each other's blood.
Their souls are one.
The passion grows and so does their thirst.
A night of pure love ;o)
I hope everyone likes my Vampire's Day Soiree painting ;o) It's done on a 5" x 7" piece of wood ;o) Guess what? Because it is Valentine's Day, this painting is a giveaway ;o) If you don't want it, I won't be upset, but if you do, please tell me in your comment, you want it ;o) The last day to enter is Monday February 17th and I will announce the winner on Tuesday February 18th ;o)
Please visit Holly and check out all the other "Vampire's Day Soiree" posts ;o)
Big Hugs ;o)

  7. The idea of two lovers finding strength (and nourishment) in each other is romantic and delicious. Just imagine, they would need no other. I love the colors, the circular position of their bodies and what they represent. And of course I want them. Have you ever painted something that I wouldn't want? Nope! Throw my name in the hat!

  9. I love the slashes of red as the crows rest amid gentler colors. It makes me think of what relationships should be like - secure, serene, the figures compliment each other, but a current of passion weaves its way into the scene. Very nice.

  22. Now see, I did wonder how you were going to shape a crow to fit the day. I mean Crows and Ravens are rather gothic anyway, but this was just great. Kudos and well done, Magic Love.

  24. BEAUTIFUL! I love crows and you give them an extra special magic. (Oh, I just realized that I inadvertently used all the words from your name in that sentence. Haha.)

I don't want to turn this comment into a saga, but I've mentioned to Magaly before that your artwork gives me a sense memory back to childhood. I'm Australian, but I was born in Papua New Guinea (while my parents were there working for a little while) and I had a picture book from PNG with illustrations that remind me of your style. Not exactly the same, but the same lively spirit, and lots of birds, only cassowaries rather than crows. ;)
