New Art and A Sneak Peak On A Maybe Booby Prize

And, the last painting is on a small canvas. The canvas is wide on the sides, so you can have it sitting. After I finished it, I thought it might be good for one of my "booby" prizes, for my Halloween giveaway. I know you love your "booby" prizes ;o) The picture isn't taken right on, because I still want it to be a surprise, if I give it away. What I would like to know from all of you, is, from what you see, would you like to win it? And, do you like a matte or glossy finish?

Hi Everyone ;o) I'm back! I forgot to mention, that mom and I went back to the Heniz factory in Leamington Ontario. Many of you were wondering where I went off to. Sorry, I forgot to say where I was! I think we are going back one more time, in the middle of October and then it looks like, I might be going away for Halloween. And, Thanksgiving for everyone who lives in Canada, is coming soon too. So, I am really thinking about when to do the giveaways! I know it will be sometime in October! LOL! I have been catching up on all your blogs! More Treasures, Going Away and Roxanne is Back ;o)

Hi Everyone ;o) I would like to introduce you to Laurie ;o) Laurie actually found my blog first and I am so happy she did! She is a funny, wonderful person, who has great cooking recipes, and who is also very talented, creating art! Laurie has also inspired me in many ways, because she has a brain injury, which is slowly taking her eye sight away. I have learned so many things from her, like, did you know, that your brain swells, when it's hot out? This is when Laurie's vision really doesn't do well, but like I said, nothing gets her down! She always has me smiling and laughing! I was so excited to learn, that she opened up an Etsy shop ;o) She was a little upset the other day, because one of her items got lost in the mail. Unfortunately, it happens, and hopefully the customer was nice ;o) Well, I would like to show you some of Laurie's art ;o) Enjoy ;o)












Just to let you all know, I am going away tomorrow (24th), very early in the morning, till Tuesday September 27th. I will try my best to catch up with you all when I get back ;o)

Sneak Peak Of Halloween Giveaways and a Question?

Ok, first I have to say, it's been one of those weeks! You know when no matter how much you do, nothing seems to get done??? That's me this week! And, I have only started one new painting too! You know there is something up, when I haven't been able to paint! My stomach also felt like someone punched me! Very soar around my hernia. (The next operation I have to get done.) So, I started drinking lots of honey and green tea. I am all better now ;o) I was still feeling down on myself, for not getting any painting done. But, I thought Stacy, stop it! And, I put a smile on my face ;o) Well, wouldn't you know it, I got one BIG surprise in the mail and two beautiful treasures too ;o)

I had a small parcel come in the mail today. And, I thought, who is this from? I read outside the package and it was from Debbie, at CraftyMoose. I thought, what is she doing? I opened the package and found a beautiful homemade card, with a crow on it and inside, was a birthday message for me ;o) I was and still am, smiling ear to ear. Then, I opened the little gift inside! It was my "Skully Girl"! I have been looking at this beautiful pendant in Deb's shop for awhile now! I even asked Deb yesterday, if she could make another? She said the original one was sold! How sneaky! I love it!!! ;o) It is so beautiful! And, the beading work Deb did around it, is amazing!! Hugs Deb!! I love my girl ;o) Oh, mom loves it too ;o) But, I am not sharing! LOL! I am such a bad daughter! Ehehehehhehe ;o)













Now yesterday, in the mail, I got two GORGEOUS aceo's of crows ;o) I discovered Jo-Ann's art through the "Trees of Life Charity". She is an amazing artist, who paints flowers, trees, still life, abstract, everything, in her own special way ;o)! When I found out, she had an Etsy shop, I had to go look ;o) Well, wouldn't you know it, Jo-Ann loves crows too ;o) Of course I had to treat myself to some of her work ;o) I feel so blessed to have gotten to know her! Jo-Ann, is truly a great person, with a big heart! It was so cute, because she treated herself to one of my crows and blogged about mine too ;o) All you crow lovers are fantastic!! Big Hugs ;o) The two pictures below this, are of my crow aceo's from Jo-Ann. My favourite is the one, who looks like he is giving you the "eye" ;o) Isn't he sexy??? ;o)) I love him! I love them both ;o) Actually, I think the one calling out, is his jealous girlfriend, telling him, to get home! LOL!

Ok, so I was thinking! As you all know, September is my birthday month and I do truly love giving gifts. So, I when I was painting this weekend, I thought, why not add more to the giveaway??? What do you all think??? Did I hear a yes? Come on, one more time, all together now ;o) Ok, that's what I thought, I did hear a yes ;o)

So, as you all know, there are 4 items that you all have seen and told me, what you wanted to win. Now there will be 4 runner up prizes to them. All the runner up prizes will be similar to the first prize. Like, both fairy paintings, will have fairies in the runner up prizes. Am I confusing all now? I swear I haven't been drinking! LOL!

Hi Everyone! I hope you're all having a great weekend! It's a long weekend for us in Canada and I think it's the same for my friends in the United States.

Ok, now you are all wondering what the big secret is for September and why I am so happy. Well, it's my birthday on September 18th ;o) And, I also opened my Etsy shop on September 1st ;o) My blog anniversary is actually in June, but I put it for September, because I really didn't know what I was doing for the first few months! LOL! So, I thought I would have a BIG giveaway. And, I wanted to give more than 3 things away, so I am giving away 4 items ;o) That's why it's called, the, "3 Plus 1 Giveaway ;o)

Do you all remember, those wood paintings I was showing you? Well, that's what I am giving away ;o) I had a lot fun painting the wood. They are all different shapes and sizes. I rescued the wood from being thrown away and reused it ;o) They all have been sanded down, and some of them I left the edges a little more rough, for texture. They all have metal hangers on the back too and have been sprayed with a matte protective finish. Remember the two heart ones, I actually used my finger nail to make the groove in the paint, when it was wet. They are all very special to me, like all of you are! As I always say, without you, I wouldn't be here! And, it's so true ;o)

Hi Everyone ;o) Hope everybody is well ;o) My mom said thanks for all the get well wishes ;o) She has been having a not too bad week. She went through a couple of days with a lot of pain. Instead of me putting the ice on top of her foot, I put it underneath and that seemed to help ;o) She is suppose to get her stitches out tomorrow and then, I think she will have her shoe foot cast on for another 3 weeks. But, we will wait and see what the doctor says.

Now for our good friend ;o) I have to thank you all personally, for the healing thoughts for her. She is a fighter! She came out of the operation perfect! The nurse went to give her a bed pan and she said no, I am going to the washroom. The nurse told her, it would be hard for her to do and she said, bodies are meant to move. When you move you stay alive, when you don't move, you die. Like I said, she is a fighter! She has been through a lot. She has lost her husband, her sister, her two brothers, her two daughters and her great grand daughter, all from cancer. Her goal in life is to live at least till 95. Her daughter and son will be retiring, around, when she hits 90. So, she can't wait because then they can spend a lot of time together and go traveling. She is a wonderful inspiring lady, who I have known all my life!
