Hey Everyone ;o) Now, remember when I was asking you all to guess what I was painting????,,,,,well, it was because, whoever got the right answer first, was going to get a secret prize!! So Joumana, please contact me through my Etsy shop with your full name and address ;o) Your prize will be in the mail soon ;o)
This is the finished aceo ;o) "Mom, Look What I Found" ;o)

This is the second aceo I just finished, "The Smudging". "Native Crow is cleansing for any negative energy!" "Native people throughout the world use herbs to accomplish this. One common ceremony is to burn certain herbs, take the smoke in one's hands and rub or brush it over the body. Today this is commonly called "smudging." In Western North America the three plants most frequently used in smudging are sage, cedar, and sweetgrass."

How cute is that, getting ready for St. Pat's I see. Sneaky way for a give away - I love the idea of it and might just try one of those myself sometime in the future.
ReplyDeleteHey Marlene, Thanks ;o) I might just do it again too ;o) I will be watching your blog for yours ;o)
ReplyDeleteThe painting you are working on brings to mind an old poem by Edgar Allen Poe...."Once upon a midnight dreary, While I pondered weak and weary, Suddenly there came a tapping, As of someone gently rapping ..."

ReplyDeleteStacy, I had to do that in my other house!! I used some special herbs made by a native shop, and smoked my house in all the corners. The smell was nice actually. We had a lot of strange weird things going on in that place :o/
ReplyDeleteIt worked! Along with bells, and many other crazy y things that I never believed in, until it happened to me! LoL
