Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
Happy Spring! I hate to say it, but I think we'll be having snow till the end of April. Saying that, I'm getting 3 large bags of earth delivered on Thursday. It might be early, but when they have specials on for $30.00 less a bag, I'd rather get it now and pay less.
This is how they delivery them off the truck.
I know you're probably thinking, that's a big bag of earth and it is, but it goes fast! I usually get 2-3 bags, every 2 years. Top up the gardens, put earth under the trees, and spread it out over the grass. It's alot cheaper doing it this way too!

Saw my first robin today! She didn't stay around for too long! LOL!

I did manage to finish a painting.  Here are some progress pictures.

"Heart To Heart" (9"x 12" canvas)

  8. Wish we had a delivery service like that. David is going to our local nursery this weekend to get a truck load of top soil for the yard. By truck load I mead his pickup truck bed will be filled by a front loader of soil. There is like huge piles of this stuff at the nursery. I also want him to go to the horse barn up the road and get a small load of manure for the roses. Lots of yard work for him this weekend. He's gonna hate me. Love the momma and baby, soooo sweet.

  9. That's such a sweet painting!!! Really pretty! And yes, that is a big pile of dirt lol...but if you can get it reasonably priced, it's a good idea. I spent about $50 on $1 bags last year and hauling those heavy bags was not fun. I'll be thinking about the big yella ones in the future! :)

  10. You are so ambitious! That's why your gardens look so nice! I've turned into a very lazy gardener! Winter is still lingering here too! Hopefully warmer temps will melt the rest of the snow! I love this cute painting, so sweet and heartwarming! Happy Spring!

  11. It is strange to think we will be cleaning up our yards in a few weeks! We are expecting a snowy windy storm today into tomorrow. I haven't seen any white stuff yet but the sky has snow written all over it! Heart to Heart is so beautiful. It would be perfect in a nursery.

  17. I need to have some soil brought in. At the rate we're going, the bag would be buried under the snow! Happily the latest storm fizzled. Sweet painting.

  18. I agree with you- better to get it when it is on sale. I can't wait to start working in my garden. Snowed yesterday and last night- so it will be a while. I am hoping April will be more springlike.
