Hi Everyone!
Hope the sun is shining where you are! We have "sprung" forward with our clocks. I still don't understand why we do this? I know there are many places that don't! But, I have to say, I do love the sunny mornings!

I finished another painting. Here are some progress pictures.
I wasn't liking where the wings were taking me. So everything changed!

  1. I like the starkness. Glad you are happy with the changes.
Do not like spring forward. No reason why we do this.

  5. This is so beautiful Stacy! I don't understand the clock changing thing either. It made sense for the old days but those are long gone. I heard the other day that a couple of our states were talking about doing away with the clock changing. I am not sure how that would work if the rest of the country still changed them. At least it is being talked about. :)

  6. The sun is grinning like a maniac here, and I'm loving it. Almost as much as seeing you work with white a black, plus a kiss of red. Love this painting. And I think your wing decision was perfect.

  7. So interesting to see how you changed the painting completely. The finished painting has a completely different feel than the project before. I love that you share this process with us.

  12. Well, something has "sprung" here, too, but I wouldn't exactly call it SPRING!!!
Very cool piece Stacy!!!But even if you had kept the one with the other wings that you didn't care for, I would have loved that one, too!!! I just love your crows!!!

    Great Big Hugs and Love

  13. When you don't like something, you have to change it :-) Both look great. I love the sgraffito in the final piece! And the red heart. Have a lovely week!

  14. We managed to dodge last weeks very bad snow storm this time around. We still got snow and sleet but it was not as much as they were calling for thankfully!

NICE job on the finished painting. I agree that both were good, but I must say I rather enjoyed the flying crow scene.

Big hugs and much love ~ Kim

  16. I liked the wings in flight, but the artist must be happy with her work. I think you found a place that you like :)

  19. I love your new title pic, very cute!
Also enjoyed an earlier post with crow facts :)
We have a movement against daylight savings time happening over here right now, starting in Finland.

  20. Black on white. Dramatic.
I hate daylight saving time. It sucks. Now I have to get the puppies used to it too.

  21. We have to wait another two weeks until we "spring" forward...typical of us to be behind everyone else! lol

Oh how stunning...your painting is so striking!!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

  22. Oh I really liked the wings they were really good. I liked the look of the painting in progress there just as it was actually.
It had a very real look to it. End product nice as well so? can not fault the "artists vision" ......Janice

  23. Finished painting looks good.
I don't know why we do the time change, either.

  24. I love the extra light in the afternoons. I researched daylight savings in the United States and it hasn't been going on as long as I thought- or for the reasons I thought (at least here-not sure about other places). I would be happy to keep the time the way it is right now. :)

    Love the finished painting. Bravo!

  26. What a lovely painting, I love that you changed it to suit a direction you liked more. I'm not a fan of the back and forth time changes, we do it here too...

  29. Your painting is lovely as usual! :) I don't get the time change thing either, it messes with everything, especially the critters who think it's time to eat when it's not! I do like that it stays lighter longer though, feels like the dark days of winter are almost over! :)

  30. I wish we didn't have to do time changes. Pets don't like it, either! Nice painting! BTW, I used the tote I got from you at my last story time. The kids didn't say anything, but it worked perfectly for me - held everything I needed to bring.

  31. Here in the UK we have to wait another couple of weeks before we spring forward!

Another very good painting you've shown us here.

    All the best Jan
