*My Crows* *My Art* *My Way*

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
We've had record breaking temperatures for the past 3 days. So much so, it has felt like April. The only thing though, with the snow melting, we've had 3 days of rain! On the one side of our house, where it's narrow, against a fence, I shovelled out a lot of snow to the end of the driveway, so the water could flow properly.

We didn't have it as bad as some other places that were evacuated, because of ice jamming up the water flow in rivers. (pictures taken from our local news)

The rain has stopped for now, so that's one good thing!

I did manage to finish two paintings.
"Woven Into My Heart" (8" x 8" linen canvas paper)
The next painting, unfortunately, I only took one progress picture. You wouldn't believe how much paint is behind that white and it was purple and grey!
The finished painting.
"The Answers Are Always Within You" (8" x 16" wood panel)
Big Hugs 😃

  1. OMG I LOVE The Answers are always within you. I think it is your best one yet. I of course think the first one is adorable. Early breakup for you and freezing temps and a bit of snow for us after such a mild winter. Come see my great news in my new post today. Hugs

  5. We feel so bad about that little toddler swept away by the flooding in Brantford. Such a tragedy for all concerned.

  6. Your new paintings are both really precious, I especially love the first one. Glad your snow is melting, even if it is a lot of work just now with shoveling etc. No snow here, just icy temps but lots of sun. Hugs, Valerie

  8. We had a couple of days of warm temps. And then it snowed last night. Just to let us know it's still Winter. Those ice pictures are amazing. Hope the rain stops so things don't flood. Lovely paintings and your titles for them are just beautiful

  9. The picture of the thick ice scattered across the road is wild. We've had a lot of weird weather days here over the past year (flood, storms, snow) and I never get as much writing done as I'd hoped when I'm trapped in the house.

I don't know that you've had any other recent paintings in which there are NO colors other than black and white, and it was sort of a wonderful shock when I saw it.

  15. Beautiful paintings and I love the messages. :)

Wow! Ice jams are scary. We have had them in different places in Connecticut this year and they are definitely a big problem. I don't remember them being a problem here in the past. Glad the rain has stopped for you!

The first one is so sweet and innocent and the second one, I don't know, there's something about it that really speaks to me. I also love the titles you give your paintings. Great work! Hope the rain will stay away now, it's time for sun and warmth and spring! Have a happy week! hugs xx

  21. We get the chunks of ice breaking up onto the land. One reason not to live too close to the Lake. It is so big it can wipe right through a house. I can imagine the noise of the ice breaking up at night must be eerie. Our snow is now solid like ice and so we must wait for it to melt.
