Hi Everyone
Hope you're all doing well!
We are out of the deep freeze for now, and into a January thaw. It's suppose to rain on Thursday!

I've been meditating! I was told, to really try to do it for an hour, because you'll go through different stages in that hour. So true! At first, all these thoughts come to you, and then things settle down and after that, what has happened to me, I've been getting some very powerful images! I find, for me right now, some major insights come after the meditation, through out the day. The more you get in touch with you, the more "you" starts talking to you!

I have to admit, this past friday, was very hard for me. Somethings, which I didn't even know I was holding within me, came out and I cried most of the day. It was such a good and powerful release. Already, I'm seeing so many things differently! It truly is amazing!

Even if you can't sit for an hour a day, but even a couple times a week, I would recommend it. It's not easy! But, after awhile, you truly want to do it.

I really have no new art to show you, but I did feel the need to paint what I was feeling. Here are some examples.
Not sure if I'm going to keep painting them, or paint over them.

Big Hugs😊

  2. I really like them ! Meditation is great for health for one thing, and then all the extras that come along with it. I know you'll enjoy it even with the emotions of it all.

  12. Sometimes the time can be just as powerful in a short time, just gather your thoughts and feel the power around you.

  15. This is awesome Stacy! I am sure it will get easier and more comfortable the more you meditate. I know that feeling of wanting to do it but for me it is yoga. It helps me zone out and clear my brain! I love these paintings. It would be cool to keep them and paint as you evolve. Then you will end up with a unique series to chronicle your journey. :)

  16. I really love that second one. I don't meditate, but I do spent time in prayer and contemplation. If I don't make it happen first thing in the morning, there's no hope of it happening. Life can be so crazy, eh?

  23. Dearest Stacy, I just love your new attitude!!! Meditation can be so beautiful when it is done in the right spiritual state of mind. Good for you!
I love your idea of painting what you feel in your meditative state. Your art is gorgeous!!!
Of course painting over them or keeping them is your choice but because they were painted to help you meditate I feel they tell even more than mere words could ever do!

    Great Big Hugs 💕

  26. Kepp the paintings! They are beautiful!

I've never really tried meditating. Mostly I zoom around all day and don't have a minute to stay still and do something like that. I'm glad it has been beneficial to you. Hugs!

  27. Glad the meditation is helping you.

I like your paintings, the first one is my favourite.
I'm not sure if you should paint over them - perhaps have a think and leave them awhile before you decide.

Wishing you a good weekend ahead.

    All the best Jan

  32. Glad the meditation is helping. I've been trying to do some at least once a week. Your art is beautiful, don't paint over them, at least wait a few weeks before you decide. We are also in the Polar Vortex of cold, I'm getting really tired of it! So cold all the time! x Diane

  33. I really like that last piece. No matter if you redo them or not, you do wonderful work.

  34. I find your crows beautiful and uplifting, Stacy! Your paintings are perfect as they are! I've meditated for an hour in the past when I was still going to church. We had a special meditation-prayer group, but that was a long time ago. I'm still pretty upset with the church, so much hate and bigotry. I'd like to find my way back, but I'm not there yet. Wishing you an awesome week!

  35. I think we are all a bit frustrated with the length of time to comment. It def is slow moving. You are a very talented lady. In the last one I can feel the meditative state. I am a firm believer in meditation and I drum as well. It takes one to a different level of consciousness.
