*My Crows* *My Art* *My Way*

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well!
I thought I would share, what I see "basically" every morning, if I'm watching. It all starts when I feed my "pets". Yes, I call my birds, squirrels and chipmunks my pets. They know when it's breakfast! I tap the bird feeders and put out my pans of seeds and nuts for them.
I didn't get pictures of the ravens or chickadees this morning, but they were there!

Warning tones of photosπŸ˜€ (click on the pics to make them bigger)
"Breakfast" They all start to rush in!
If they don't share, they get yelled at! Seriously, I do. I slap my hands and say hey, be nice, if I see them fighting or not sharing. So far, they listen to me!

The nuthatches and sparrows were at the feeders.
"Mr. Cardinal" was posing for me.
I think he was trying to figure out which bird feeder to go to! LOL!
"Thanks Mom Stacy"
I did manage to finish two paintings.
I did a similar one, to the one I gave for the Auction.
"First Snow" (6" x 6")
"Ancient Whispers Echo, By The Light Of Silent Stars" (8" x 10")
Just to let you know, the Christmas cards turned out great, but they over lapped the images in the printing process!! So they are being reprinted!!

Big Hugs πŸ˜€

  1. That's a pretty cool group of pets you've got there. Love the one that looks like his tongue is sticking out.

  4. Goodness, it feels yummy just to see it in pictures. I bet the feeling in the flesh is a miracle every time. Love that the robin and all its red posed for you. That made me giggle. And the smiles of the baby crow and mama crow in the "Ancient Whispers Echo, By The Light Of Silent Stars" painting are just perfect.

Breakfast time looks pretty amazing too. The birds who swarm here are not nice to each other - you have the magic touch.

  7. Your pets are wonderful. You set a fine table. I just toss seed on the ground for the ground feeders. Loved the blue jay and the cardinal and how he posed for you. As always, lovely artwork

  12. Stacy!! I love the pics of your winged and furry friends! What do you put out that the ravens seem to go for?? I can never get the ones around here to come down but we live pretty close to the street so I think the traffic keeps them a little wary.

Isn't it amazing to have a clutch of little ones to tend to? I think we've accounted for a real surge in the finch, sparrow, mourning dove, Pine siskin and crow population around us! I walk out in the morning and whistle and they all gather around on the wires and roof! Today I watched a crow step on the foot of another crow and hold it in place on the railing to keep it from reaching over and grabbing the food from the other side of him! Too funny!

Lovely paintings too!! :) And, of course, Big Crow Hugs!!

  13. love your art Stacey - always. And these 2 pieces are gorgeous. I've been photographing the two ravens that hang out here ....for the last several weeks and am getting a lot of poses which I hope to sketch soon. you sound like me - i get up and put peanuts out for the jays and squirrels, seeds and berries once in awhile an orange or grapes but not too many birds around here that like them. I use to have Orioles who liked the grapes and oranges but they have disappeared (I think it's the cats around here). Then I find scraps or crackers that the ravens like and put them out. The two Ravens now come by at least three to four times a day for their treats. They fly to the fence, sit on it and caw until I throw something out. I'm expecting a present from them any day to repay my generosity, lol

I love feeding the birds too - AND I, too, sometimes have to yell at the magpies, as they tend to be a bit greedy and chase off the other birds!! lol

  25. I would probably sit and watch your birds and little critters all the time. I really envy you for the cardinals, we don't have them here. They are so pretty.
I'm in love with your "Ancient Whispers Echo" painting!

  26. Your photos are amazing Stacy! How lovely to get so many visitors in your garden, I smiled when I read about you clapping your hands and telling them to play nice! I have a habit of talking to the birds too, and it’s so funny to see them putting their heads on one side as if they are trying to understand me!
What a shame about the Christmas cards but I’m sure the reprints will be fine. Have a lovely week.

  28. Fun post! Haven't seen a black squirrel in a few years. Black bears yes...but not black squirrels, though I know they are out there!

  29. Squirrels, blue jays and cardinals? I wish we had such wildlife in our back garden, although with the cat that would cause a serious problem.
