*My Crows* *My Art* *My Way*

Monday, March 6, 2017

Hi Everyone
Hope you're all doing well!

I have to make a "correction", in the post I did about my stones. I said I was polishing them. Many of you thought I was actually polishing them with a machine. I used the wrong term, sorry. I meant I was cleaning them. Dusting them off. 90% of my stones/crystals, are purchased. Many are from the gemboree I go to once a year. I have been collecting forever! Usually the stones I buy are already tumbled, but I do purchased raw ones too. I have precious stones, semi precious stones and some are rocks I have picked up. I have been gifted many too.
Some more pics, of my stones 😊
I've been working on a painting. I think I'm almost finished. Deciding if I should put an eye on the crow. I don't think I'm going to, but that could change. Here is a sneak peak.
Big Hugs 😁

  1. Ooohhh you have an amazing collection of stones. I really love this piece. Your "adult" crows have taken on a more spiritual appearance anyway that is the fee to me. I love it. Boo hoo hoo snowed here. Hugs N

  3. Your stones are so magical... so are you, my dear friend 💟
I am loving your painting. An eye isn't needed in this spiritual painting... but of course that is a choice that only you, it's creater, can decide~

  4. Really like that one! Good atmosphere and like the details on the wings.
A nice collection of polished rocks yo have there. Don't worry, it didn't occur to me that you might be stone grinding polishing them.

  7. Ooooh... You've got an amazing stash of stones. Beautiful!

And your latest painting is stunning! It's interesting because having an eye or not having an eye... I'm guessing it would convey two very different feelings/stories.

  10. I have a collection of stone as well. Some are healing stones. I like the mystery of not adding an eye.

  11. wowhe way you painted the wings are wonderful. If you do add an eye it will be great one way or the other because to me the wings are the focal point - that's where my "eye" would immediately go. Love your collection of stones. My youngest use to collect them and now he's 30 something so I have most of his rocks. He use to love to buy the rocks that had to be opened to see what was in them. It was a fun hobby.

  12. Oh, you've got a lovely rock, gem and crystal collection! I like the crow without an eye -- looks like the crow has shut his/her eye in ecstacy at the full moon. Love the wings! Love the sacred spiral!

  13. Your new crow is most adorable, love those spiky wings - a punk crow? Crows are always such fun to watch. Great collection of gems and stones, they look so lovely, and I think they always feel so good in the hand. Have a great day, take care of yourself! BIG hugs, Valerie

  14. OOOOOWwwWww....I think the crow without an eye works brilliantly! The way his feathers are so spread out makes it look like he is "feeling" is way toward something :D XXX

  15. Oooooh, makes me want more crystals!

I like the swirl on the crow!

  16. Love your collection of stones especially in the pretty, white hobnail milk glass dishes.I think I like the crow without an eye and I especially like the way you rendered the feathers on the wings.

  17. When you said polishing, I assumed you were removing dust with a cloth, which is what I do. The idea of polishing sounds too impersonal for someone who loves stones as much as you do--part of the fun of having them is feeling their energy as we handle them, methinks.

Love the wings of the crow.

  18. I don't know a thing about stones, but they do look magical.

  19. Such a wonderful crow. I do like it without eyes. It is more magical actually. The feathers are so well done Stacy!!! Such a colorful and lovely collection of stones you have😍 Big hugs - keep up with being you!!!

  21. One of our sons collects stones and gems ... I must show him your post.

From my view point ... I don't think your crow needs an eye, but then I'm not the original artist you are.
I wonder what you may decide?

Enjoy the rest of the week

    All the best Jan

  23. Your stones are lovely and your crow is mysterious, beautiful and majestic all at once. Lovely work, Stacy. It must take a lot of patience to paint the feathers.

  26. You have such an awesome stone collection Stacy! I am loving your new crow. :)

  27. Love your stones! You know that is what use for travel souvenirs. I pick up a small stone and when I get home I label it with decoupage or sharpie on the bottom where it came from. Much better than some trinket made in taiwan.

  31. Great painting, and I love the stones!!! I didn't know there were stone-polishing machines, so I would've assumed you meant polishing them manually!
