Hi Everyone!
Hope you're well!
I want to thank you for your amazing comments about me and the gym! I am blessed with the friends I have made here in blog land! All of you mean so much to me! Thank you!!!

I have to let you know, so far, I have lost 8 pounds! Only xxxx to go! LOL! Actually, I'm not counting. I was surprised when I got on the scale and very happy too!

It's funny how the most "simplest" of movement can hurt and make you sweat! Like lifting your leg straight out to the side! I really hate doing that one! LOL!

I finished a commission piece that is going to Singapore! This girl makes and sells beautiful dolls. She wanted an aceo (2.5" x 3.5") to hang in one of the doll rooms, she has set up. I was asked to make a baby crow, in a sailor outfit, holding his doll (doll with eyes and collar and buttons), spring/summer time, flowers and have old toy blocks too. Remember, the painting is 2.5"x 3.5".
I did it! I didn't think I was going to, but I did!

I have been working on another painting, which I just finished, called "The Gate Keeper". It's very dramatic. (10" x 20") He might be my new banner!
One more special thing. I want to thank Jan, for my birthday gifts!! Truly love everything!!!
Big Hugs!

  9. 8 lbs.!?! That's awesome, Stacy. I think I need to run to the scale tonight and see where I am. I haven't stepped on it for a while...

I LOVE "The Gate Keeper". He looks regal and knowing... and that wicked grin on his face is just glorious.

  11. The custom piece is so cute. I love that it is for someone who sells dolls. Perfect! The Gate Keeper is so handsome.

Awesome job with the weight loss! I do think scales are a woman's greatest enemy. How you feel and your clothes getting looser will tell you your progress. :)

  16. The commission is darling! The Gate Keeper is a fine fellow too! :) So glad to hear you are happy with your gym progress. . . I think just doing a range of movement is important for so much, especially in this day and age when we are more sedentary than ever. I just heard a podcast about how kids today compared to kids from the 80's and 70's have a significant amount of less hand strength because they aren't outside doing what kids used to do, exploring, playing physically, using their whole bodies the way they/we once did.

I began climbing monkey bars again this summer and was embarrassed at first watching little 7 and 8 kids swing on them like they defy gravity when I could barely get across them but, in just a few months, I am swinging like crazy too. lol Just a few minutes, a few times a week, and I regained that lost strength and ability. Tree climbing is next. . .

    BIG HUGS!!!
