Hi Everyone
Hope you're well!
I'll be around soon to visit! I've been very busy for the last few days!
As you can see, new profile pic on the right hand side of my blog. It took a lot for me to put that pic up!

I will tell you why, in the "good old days", I had very thick hair! After, I was sick, I lost a lot of it and my hair became very fine and thin. It didn't bother me that much, but when my new hair growth was lighter and more grey came in, you could really see the area on top of my head more.

The past 3 years, I became crazy over my hair! I was growing it long, to do "the comb" over! And, I started dying my hair almost every month!

As you know, at the beginning of this year, was the start to truly loving me! I haven't coloured my hair since August of 2015 And, I don't know if I will again? We will see what happens. If I do, it won't be to cover up anything! It will be for fun!

I still have my funky hats I wear, but again, it is for fun, not for covering up!

So, I thought, when I show my pic of my hair cut I gave myself, I am not going to cover up the top of my head! This is me! I love me! I am proud of me!
I have to admit, I'm thinking of cutting my hair just a little more!
There is one thing I am working on, and I am really hoping to share it with you, by the end of April!
Big Hugs and remember LOVE YOURSELF!

  4. You look great! I know what you're going through. I had hair loss after my hysterectomy. It's not permanent from what we can tell thus far, but there's no way to be sure until after I complete medical treatment. I've had some regrowth, which surprisingly makes my hair loss more apparent than when I had lost a bunch of hair around my bangs area. Like you, I tried the comb over thing and I've considered dyeing it but I'm worried it will aggravate my scalp and cause more hair loss (my hair was super fine to begin with). It's a difficult journey but hopefully I can gather as much strength as you have to work my way through this. Here's hoping we both have a healthy future ahead of us!

    1. Ladyfair, yes, watch dyeing your hair! I found my hair got very brittle! And, I was losing more, I thought. When I was doing the comb over, it looked like I was wearing a wig! LOL! We truly have to love ourselves! We are all special in our own ways! It is a difficult journey! You will gather strength! Just keep telling yourself, that you are beautiful! It took me a few years, but I finally got it! LOL! Yes, here's to a healthy future! Hugs!

  5. Stacy I am so proud of you! We ALL face these issues for various reasons and so much of what I thought was strength and assuredness in others when I was younger I now realize was mostly false bravado. I know this because i have been fortunate enough to meet a handful of people who are truly and utterly comfortable in their own skin.

It takes enormous courage to just be, love and express oneself and, often, a lifetime to understand what that is and truly means. I've left so much behind me the last 5 to 10 years. Hair dye, make-up, worrying about style, being an "adult", conformity or vanity of any form. All I care about is how my life's work is presented. How my life, and experiences, and stories can express myself and touch others where applicable. Living true to one's nature is one of life's greatest challenges and no more so in our modern world of "likes" and "favorites" and the deeply disturbing selling of impossible beauty, popularity and ideals. You are such a fierce warrior in that way and I am in awe of your growth and strength. Mostly, the strength to show all sides of that battle as you wage it daily within. You inspire and delight with your art AND with your soul. :)

  6. You looks beautiful Stacy! I love the short cut on you. It is sad how our society is caught up on vanity. I felt a huge weight off my shoulders when I decided to never color my hair again. I love how you are embracing yourself and being proud! Keep smiling. :-)

  7. You look amazing! because you ARE amazing :D I have had really fine hair all my life so I know what your struggling with, but I love tying colourful scarves around and knotting...different colours to suit my mood. Much cheaper and easier than hair dye lol XXX

  8. Stacy, your smile (and your heart) is so bright that rest is just extra--more reasons to love you. I'm always about doing what makes me happy. If one day you feel that coloring your hair gives you pleasure, do it! If then you realize that you are just coloring your hair for other people, and the experience makes you feel not yourself, stop doing it. Like you always tells us, Be yourself. Love yourself. The rest will follow. ♥♥♥

  9. It's a great picture. It's always beautiful to see people getting more and more comfortable with who they are. As Nicolas said above, everybody has stuff that keeps them from looking the world in the eye directly. Still working through mine, too.

  17. You are beautiful and your smile and eyes light up this room! If you don't feel like coloring your hair, that's entirely up to you, I color mine, but not very consistently (I've been going white since I was 18)... I am very glad you are happy, that's so important!

  19. When my hair began turning grey, I decided not to dye it. And I still wear it in a ponytail, even though it is thinning, it's the only way I like to wear it. So, wear your hair the way you like to, be yourself, which I know you will, and keep those sweet pieces of art coming!
lots of love and magical kisses!

  31. Absolutely LOVE your new pic with a beautiful smile to boot! Yep, I agree...it's all about being you for you! Me, too...I'm trying a new look as well....letting the gray come in all on its own. It's gonna be a slow process, but I'm anxious to see what it looks like with NO coloring! Yay for you, Stacy!
