A New Friend and A New Painting

Hi Everyone ;o)
Well, you all know how much I love my Gargoyles ;o) I have 6 now ;o) I should take a picture of them all together ;o) The only thing is, two are very large, I couldn't move them around! The day before July 1st, mom and I went to one of my favourite garden shop's ;o) Not that I was buying any plants, I went to look at the statues ;o) And, there he was, just staring at me ;o) I couldn't resist ;o) I had to bring him home ;o) There is another one actually, I might be going back for! LOL! I know, I'm bad ;o) Here is my new friend ;o) (click on pics to make them bigger)
Isn't he cute ;o) I haven't got a name for him yet! This is how he looks in the garden ;o)
I did manage to get a painting finished! Wow, it has been a long time!
This painting is called, "Princess Aiyana". Aiyana or Aiyanna, means Eternal Blossom. It is a Native American name ;o) Enjoy ;o) 8" x 8" canvas ;o)
Just incase I don't post again before the 4th of July, I want to wish all my American friends, a very happy day ;o)
Big Hugs ;o)

  5. I love gargoyles also! And this one is great!

Love the new painting, the colors are divine!

Just finished two commissions. I hate doing commissions! They are tedious and bring little joy to my soul. I do like the cat one I did (not posted yet) but by the time I got done with the horse I couldn't stand to look at it.

  10. Aiyana is such a pretty name and I love how her tail forms into the shape of a heart. She and the flower combined remind me of fireworks, but maybe it's just because tomorrow is July 4th.

    Happy Weekend to you Stacy!

  19. Princess Aiyana is so pretty, you picked the right name since you're a landscaper and have a lovely garden. I don't know much about gargoyles, just the scary ones in Ghostbuster and a few I've seen on buildings. Will have to read up a bit, if they are protectors, then I've got to get one. He's got great teeth. haha

  36. Since you love Gargoyles so much, I think you would be very happy in England. They have them at the outside of so many churches and cathedrals - oh, and the French as well. They are pretty amazing. Your Gargoyle has found the ideal spot in your garden, I think - he looks great there.
And I just love Princess Aiyana!

  37. Hi, Stacy!
Your artwork is becoming so beautiful! I love this one! I may have already left a comment : )
Thank you for the encouragement about continuing to create the mixed media pieces which pop into my head! I do enjoy REAL cutting and pasting from the Graphic Fairy images. I don't know if I could even begin to do digital 'cutting and pasting'. What an interesting world of art the internet and computer language has changed in the way we view digital art. But I kinda like the 'old school' way of making art, it's more 'original'!!! And I love your crows!!!

  38. Oh! And I adore the gargoyle statue! Our neighbor across the street puts out her gargoyle winged cat at Halloween on her front lawn. I love cats! And have always loved crows too!
Your garden is so very lovely. Thanks for posting these awesome photos!
