Winner and New Baby Crow Painting

Hi Everyone ;o)
Happy March ;o)
The winner of the "Grow Strong" painting is, Terry ;o) Yeh Terry ;o) Please e-mail me your address again ;o)
Many of you have asked, how can I paint so many paintings, in a week? Well, I don't have kids. I don't watch that much t.v. and I don't have a special person in my life. So, when my paintings call, I paint! LOL!

I just finished a 9" x 12" canvas painting of my baby crows. I know all of you like to see the painting in progress, so here we go ;o) (click on pics to make them bigger)
My babies take a lot of time. First they start off all black, and then they become blue. That's when I put the eye in.
Next comes charcoal stripes.
Black stripes.
Then the process starts again ;o)
The finished painting, "Believe" ;o)
Some close ups ;o) The wings took me a long time, but I had fun ;o)
Big Hugs ;o)

  3. Woohoo, congrats to the lucky winner!!! Stacy, it is awesome to see your baby crows come to life, I 'believe' you really are amazing and as you know love everything you do, but these are truly special, the colours in the wings, gorgeous.
I get cranky sometimes because I really want to paint, actually I have the rest of my 29 faces to post, and yesterday people invited themselves over and that meant we had to clean, shop, cook, and the whole day was gone. I'll hopefully do a post today, Memphis and I have vowed we would go do some visiting too... And this was a great way to start, with your beautiful baby crows x

  6. I didn't realize that your baby crows started with a blue undercoat! D'oh! That's why I'm not an artist, I guess.

  10. These Baby Crows are SO Amazingly Adorable! Now that is very cool to see the painting in steps. I would never have imagined that the babies start off black like that then color the black again. This painting is absolutely wonderful in every way. I love it. The colors are so happy and brilliant. Great Job Stacy!

    And Congratulations to Terry!

Happy March to you as well.

  28. Awww! I love the little boots on these guys. Adorable! You sound like me with work. LOL No children and barely any tv so I can run a business while working full time! It is so much more satisfying to have a great hobby than watching tv.
