Squirrels, A Guest and Some New Art

Hi Everyone ;o)
I hope you're having a great day! Guess what I have been doing? My mom has been laughing her head off! The black squirrels now are taking my white rocks to the neighbors???? They have bared two patches in our backyard! Do they know these rocks cost money? It's enough to hide them in our grass, but to take them out of our yard! I am upset! I have been running after them to drop them! But, the little buggers make it over the fence! I know all of you are laughing at me too! I can hear you! LOL! I am not buying any more white rocks! And, I have told these squirrels, (well, I actually yelled at them), to bring my stones back!!!
And when I was running around, a friend dropped out of the tree and surprised me! He said hi and told me to hang in, everything will be fine ;o) I smiled and thanked him ;o) I didn't get his name? I hope he visits again ;o)

I have finished some new art, between my running around! Enjoy ;o)

"Wild and Free" ( I really like this one!)

"The King Has Arrived"

"Hidden"

"Veil Of Dragons"

"Mother Of Dragons" Remember I did a painting like this on wood? I thought I would do one aceo size ;o)

I will be seeing you all on July 19th! Oz Party! There is still time to link up! Big Hugs and take care ;o)

  3. That little friend who dropped in? He's one of my little leprechauns that I sent over to help you out in your garden. His name is Lonan, from Old Irish meaning "blackbird".

Love all of your pieces ... they are all so good I can't choose a favorite!

    Happy Day!

  8. Gotta tell you a quick story about thieves. Crows are the worst. I worked in a cemetary..yep that's me the sleeper keeper. Anyway at Christmas it was always entertaining to watch the crows swoop down, grab a wreath off of one grave and carry it way across the cemetary and then let it go. It seemed like a game to them. So I'm not laughing at the squirrels and your rocks or at least not loudly. Oma Linda
pssssst....everything you pain is fantastic but I love the dragon veil....way cool.

  25. Hello, sweet friend. Love this post ... so funny. And, I love all of your new work ... especially "Hidden," but really they are all so charming and magical.

I have a gnome also, much smaller than yours. One of my sisters left it at my front door some years back and ran so when I opened the door it was just mysteriously there, kinda like Amelie's dad. She passed on to Summerland three years ago, so young. She had cancer and I do think that she just gave up...life was just too hard for her for too long. I still have another sister on this earthy plain which happens to be her twin sister ... it's been hard for her as you can imagine.

Anyway, just wanted to send you love and hugs always!

All the new art is awesome! Wild and Free and Mother of Dragons are my absolute favorites!!!

  28. Maybe those squirrels think their stealing the rocks from that gnome in the tree! I have 2 gnomes in my garden but their always napping under my black eyed susans, I never seem to catch them when their awake!
I just love all your crows!

  31. Oh my! It sounds like you are having quite the time with your squirrel friends. Maybe you need to set out peanuts to distract them from your rocks. :)
They are definitely funny creatures and usually quite greedy. ha!
I love your little gnome friend. He is cute.
New art, how do you always get so much done. I am fascinated by how much you accomplish. I love them all, especially the one with the dragons. Very cool wings, they almost look like they have fire coming off of them. Love them.
Hope you have a happy day and find a good compromise with your squirrels. :)
    Cheers to you!!

  32. wild and free has a dramatic quality i really like. and those stones must have some kind of real worth for the squirrels to become obsessed:) your friend sounds like a good one to tell you to hang in there. hope you are well. it's good to be back here. i'm starting, finally, to settle in at work, it appears.

  33. Terrific new art! Hidden is very dramatic! ♥

My sister had squirrels in her yard who would throw acorns and such down onto her husband's head, hmmm...

Maybe the stones are nice and cold and they are taking them for comfort, or are they just crazy squirrels and the heat has addled their thinking.

  34. Too funny! Squirrels are so fun to watch since they play constantly! What little buggers though taking your rocks. Total thieves!

Your new crows are beautiful. My favorite here is "hidden" since it is bit mysterious!

  35. Why would they move them? How strange...but, yes, admittedly funny...I'm sorry :)

Looks like you've been keeping busy...love to see what you've been up to :)

  36. What a lovely blog you have! I don't know where you are in Ontario but I will surely watch for your licence plate. I hope you have seen David Suzuki's "A Murder of Crows" I've seen it twice so far! I always speak nicely to crows now that I understand how special they are! If you have a draw for a crow painting, put my name in!!

  37. LOL! You are such a delight. I am chuckling out loud at those squirrels. I hope they listen to you. I Love your little friend who dropped in. How adorable is he???
