A True Story For Halloween and A New Aceo

I was 13 when this happened and it was September, my birthday month. I said goodnight to my mom and got ready for bed. My favorite red pj's she made me I put on. Ginger, my cat, meowed at my door. He wanted to sleep with me tonight, so I let him in. Actually, Ginger always slept with me. He was truly my cat, since I was born!

I cuddled under the covers. Something I always do, even today. I sleep on my side, and the covers always have to be over my shoulder, even if it's hot outside.

I was fast a sleep. Don't remember what I was dreaming, but I was probably flying or running.

Suddenly, my eyes were open, I was awake. I know I was awake, I wasn't dreaming, but I was really confused, because I was floating. My back was towards the ceiling and I was looking down at my bed. I looked at my body and I looked really peaceful. All curled up. Then, I looked at my cat. "Hi Ginger", I could hear myself talking.

Ginger, arched his back and started hissing. "No Ginger, it's me, it's me". Ginger ran off. "Ginger come back!" I felt I was yelling so loud!

Then I got scared. I started yelling, "I don't want to die", "I want to go back".

I actually don't remember, how long I was out of my body, but when my soul returned, I gasped for air and sat up in my bed.

My heart was pounding! I woke my mom up and we talked till morning.

Did I die for those few minutes? Was it an out of body experinece? Was I spirit walking? I don't know, but I truly don't want it to happen again! It was scary!

Different from when I was in the hospital and I was ill. Every night when I went to sleep in the hospital, I would say, if it is my time, please take me, I am at peace.

But, aren't you all lucky, I am still here! LOL! Have any of you ever had an out of body experience? Love to hear about it, or maybe you could post it on your blog!

I would like to show you now "A Magical Night". I changed my baby crow a little bit. She doesn't have any blue in her. Only tones of grey and black. I like the way she turned out. I might do this style again ;o) Hugs Everyone ;o)

  3. That is a very scary thing to happen to a 13 year old. I have those sort of 'dreams' when I am very sick or very tired. I'm not sure what they are about.

The little crow on the broomstick is very witchy cute. He looks like he is enjoying his Magical Night!

My dreams are very vivid indeed and intensify when I am ill, I have seen all kinds of weird and wonderful things but mainly they are all horrid and scary things, mine started when I was around 13 too....weird huh?

  9. wow Stacy, how freaky! no wonder you were scared.
Never had anything like that happen, but this reminds me of a scary movie I watched recently, what the heck is it called.............oh yes, it's Insidious, about a boy who left his body, but couldn't get back in.
I'm certainly glad you are around, lol!

    cute wee baby crow artwork!

  10. Wow Stacy, that is incredible! I have never had an experience like that however I have had several experiences where while I was sleeping I was somewhere else. Once I was on top of a mountain with several very old, wise women. There was a fire burning to keep us warm. When I woke up I could smell the smoke from the fire on my pajamas. It was weird, peaceful but not scary at all. I think I would have really been scared to experience what you did. And yes we are very lucky that you are still here with us!!!!!

Your "A Magical Night" is precious. I like the grey eye too. Oh I blogged about Fairy Blessings this morning :)

  13. Stacy, that is truly scary! As far as I know, I have not had an out of body (oob) experience. I do dream vividly every night; once in a while I wonder if I might have "left". Wonder why that happened to you?

  16. Hello, visiting you via Raszart's blog. That is a scary story, but I can relate. I had a similar experience, but I had been shot in my dream, I woke up before I could see where I was headed, but I was looking down at myself, very strange. I have heard of stories where people visit other places in their sleep and other people even saw them there. Interesting.
Great new picture too. Very sweet. I love crows, they definitely have a lot of character. :)

  33. Wow, what an experience Stacy! I've never had one where I am looking down on my surroundings but I have had a few of those dreams where it is so real that ya know its not a dream. One was where I was in a square box all surrounded by intense white light. I had been reading books about astral travel and figured this was a sort of starting off place and I got excited. Then I heard this breathing and I got scared. The breathing got louder and louder and I thought it was some monster or something. I had similar experiences where I could force myself to wake up when it got scary by asking for help, so I called out " Grandfather Eagle help me!" I saw the eagle's talons and I reached up to grab them to get lifted out of the box. Just as I grabbed on though I woke up and immediately realized that the scary breathing was just my own breathing!!!!! Ha! I was so mad that I blew a possible out of body by being scared of my own breath! I don't know if I really want one though unless it is peaceful like the one Rasz had! Deb

PS, I just bought the new aceo! I love it! This is my first witch baby crow and I am soooooo loving Halloween this year! We are gonna do crazy hats at work! I feel like a kid agian and its sooooo fun!

  34. Deb, I know it wasn't funny, but I thought it was cute, that your own breath scared you! You know what, you weren't meant to go. Who knows, what will happen in the future! But, I agree, I wouldn't want it to happen again, unless, it was a happy trip!

  38. That was a bit spooky - especially with your cat's reaction. I've never had an experience like that ever. Thank you for sharing this. I love your little Magic Night crow - especially those twinkling stars. :)

  39. Magic Night Crow is enchanting Stacy, OMG I'm soo behind, I missed this little fellow & the story you told is amazing!! I went out with someone once & he used to Astral travel, he said you could train yourself to do it, but I guess we didn't go out long enough for me to learn LOL!
