Update ;o)

Hi Everyone ;o) Hope everybody is well ;o) My mom said thanks for all the get well wishes ;o) She has been having a not too bad week. She went through a couple of days with a lot of pain. Instead of me putting the ice on top of her foot, I put it underneath and that seemed to help ;o) She is suppose to get her stitches out tomorrow and then, I think she will have her shoe foot cast on for another 3 weeks. But, we will wait and see what the doctor says.

Now for our good friend ;o) I have to thank you all personally, for the healing thoughts for her. She is a fighter! She came out of the operation perfect! The nurse went to give her a bed pan and she said no, I am going to the washroom. The nurse told her, it would be hard for her to do and she said, bodies are meant to move. When you move you stay alive, when you don't move, you die. Like I said, she is a fighter! She has been through a lot. She has lost her husband, her sister, her two brothers, her two daughters and her great grand daughter, all from cancer. Her goal in life is to live at least till 95. Her daughter and son will be retiring, around, when she hits 90. So, she can't wait because then they can spend a lot of time together and go traveling. She is a wonderful inspiring lady, who I have known all my life!

Have a precious day and remember, to live it to the fullest! Oh, and happy September 1st ;o) I love September ;o) I will be doing something very special soon ;o)

  5. Stacy,

I wish your mom and your friend a speedy recovery.

Frozen vegetables. Peas or corn, work really good to get the swelling down. Also make sure she's elevating her foot often.

I am really behind in reading my blogs. So I downloaded an ap so I can read them on my iPod. It works great.

  6. P.s. I meant to say... I am reading all posts but won't comment on every one. It's harder commenting on the iPod.

  15. Stacy,

Your welcome. I am hobbling around with an air cast so I know what a pain they are, I went over funny on my ankle on Saturday and have a hairline fracture. Nothing compared to your mom. Which is why I am reading a lot from my i pod lol Good to elevate things. Funny the things we do to ourselves.

    Thanks for saving stamps :)

  16. I'm pretty sure my last comment didn't go through soooo at the risk of repeating myself LOL... the flower is totally wonderfully drenched in that scarlet hue (actually that's HEAPS better than what I wrote first time) and I thought it was to announce SPRING (yep then realised it's probably start of Autumn in Canada)... now your mom, yes MORE REST, it's funny all the mother comments from us nurturing babes, the peas is what we use too as a cold pack... and your friend that wonderful woman harnessing the spirit of gutsiness & adventure, SHE'S A LEGEND please tell her so from me :) Have a wonderful weekend my friend :)

Your friend sounds like an amazing woman, good for her for having all that spirit, and not taking it easy. She is indeed a fighter.
Crazy weather everywhere, so glad we got missed by those tornado warnings last week, but I feel so bad for those dealing with the hurricanes :-(

  39. Wonderful news on both your mom and your friend. Two beautiful women who are so valued in your life. Your friend sounds so much like my late friend Annie. She was a pistol! I sure miss her but my heart is filled with the fondness of having shared life with her and I suppose I couldn't ask for much more than that. I hope your weekend is blessed with all sorts of wonderful magic, my sweet friend.

  40. Mina, you are so special, thanks so much for everything! I am for sure Annie is smiling down at you, especially, since you called her a pistol! Hugs ;o)
